Today is Monday, August 1st, 2016 and here's what's making news on Roadshow. It's confirmed. Tesla will be swallowing up Solar City. The two companies agreed to a $2.6 billion deal all stock deal wherein this dynamic duo hopes to create fully integrated residential, commercial and grid scale products that improve the way energy is generated, stored and consumed. Volkswagen might finally have a diesel fix on its hands. Reuters reports that the California Air Resources Board is working with the automaker to test a solution for its beleaguered diesels that involve both hardware and software alterations. If regulators don't approve a fix Volkswagen will be forced to buy back as many of its Two liter diesels as possible which will be quite the expensive proposition. Uber is cutting its loses in China. After struggling to make a profit, the company is selling its assets to Didi Chuxing, Uber's biggest rival in the middle kingdom.
