I've spent some time in the 2018 BMW X2, and here are five things, that you need to know.

Now the first thing you need to know is, what the hell is this thing?
Well BMW calls it, a sports activity coup.
I'm just going to call it a sub-impact crossover.
But maybe it looks a little bit like a tall wagon and it's kind of coupy back there.

A two liter turbo charged engine puts out 228 horsepower to all four wheels.
And 258 pound-feet of that torque twist.

And leave it to BMW to nickel and dime you on some of the performance aspects.
A nearly $5,000 package gives you, among other things, an upgraded suspension, and also an eight speed automatic transmission that's a tad more sporty.
Quicker up shifts and down shifts.

And you'll have to pay for the tech as well.
A $700 package gives you lane departure warning and a frontal collision warning.
But adaptive cruise control is $1000.
Apple Car Play is $300.
You can't even get Android auto or blind spot monitoring.

And the finalthing you need to know is the price.
This guy here with all wheel drive, starts at $38,400.
But come on you're never just gonna walk out of the dealer At that price.
With all the bells and whistles.
Your looking at about 50k.
