[MUSIC] Alfa Romeo used the Chicago Auto Show to do a couple of things. First it confirmed there will be a 2020 model run for the 4c Spider here in North America, which is good news because it's a looker and fun to drive to boot, and then second it unveiled this. The North American version of the limited edition four seat Spider Italia. WIth just 15 examples of Italia coming here, it most certainly will be a legit limited edition, setting apart from regular four seat spiders is an exclusive Mesano blue metallic paint job, piano black air intake, rear diffuser, and special side graphics on the outside. The cabin gets a specific logod aluminum trim on the dash board, and a center console number plate. Outside of a slick paint job and small visual alterations, the Italia is the same carbon fiber chassis [UNKNOWN] as the standard four seat. Power comes from a midship 1.75 liter turbocharged four cylinder, making 237 horsepower and 258 pound feet of torque. That bolts to a six speed, dual clutch transmission providing power to the rear wheels. Alpha quotes the Spider hitting 60 miles per hour in 4.1 seconds at top speed of 160. How much would the Italia set you back? Well having one of 15 of something usually comes at a premium. The Italia stickers for $73,495 including destination which represents a $5,000 jump over the base Spider Orders for the 2020 Alfa Romeo Spider Italia will officially open sometime during he second quarter of this year.
