Porsche Panamera S Hybrid

-You know, Porsche is known for so many things, the iconic shape of the 911, flat air-cooled engines, rear-ends that come around and bite you in a turn, and this guy, the world's first hybrid. Yeah, the Semper Vivus from like a hundred years ago. But if that was their first hybrid, let me introduce you to their third. It's this guy, the new Panamera S Hybrid just being announced here at Geneva. That's right, third hybrid because they already have the Cayenne which just came out as a hybrid a few months ago. This has the same power plant and power train out of that vehicle. So at 330 somewhat horsepower V6, no slouch on its own, but then add a torquey 47 horsepower electric motor, should have great low end and it gets about 34ish mpg at least if you convert the European cycle. Beyond that, aside from the badging, you wouldn't know it's any different. It's the same basic Panamera, interior is the same. The Panamera has been selling really well. They're red hot even though I don't get the looks. $95,000 or so will be the base price when this guy hit showrooms in late 2011.
