I'm here at CES and I;m gonna do something that I've never done before, Nissan is going to read my brain.
Okay, they're not exactly gonna read my brain, they're going to read my brain waves with their new vehicle to brain technology.
It's going to use that information to basically affect how a car drives.
Now there's two ways that this can happen, with prediction or with detection.
So with prediction it's going to read my brainwaves, if I'm deciding to turn left or turn right, and it's going to basically put that input in a little bit quicker.
Essentially reducing my reaction time up to a half a second.
And when it comes to detection it's him driving autonomously, I'm riding autonomously.
The car in front of me stops, so my car starts to break but I have a discord in my brain I don't want my car to break, I want my car to go around it.
This technology can detect that discord and decide,oh, she doesn't want to break, she wants to pass and it will make the car do that.
Now are we ever gonna see this technology?
It's pretty far fetched but it is really cool that Nissan is looking to the future and looking for ways to make driving more fun and autonomy a little bit safer.
