I'm really pleased to unveil today the Jaguar i platform, Jaguar's first all electric Racing car and we've been developing the car over the last nine months.
And so the rules from a [UNKNOWN] perspective means that we have manufactured and developed our own power train as well as our own gearbox.
This works with the common [UNKNOWN] in the championship use.
So obviously the motor generator It's a unit.
The most controlled unit.
All the gear box and all the setup.
The car is unique to run.
So, that's really exciting for us is to be [INAUDIBLE].
And we're really pleased so we ended up with that one.
It's quite difficult to get an entrance into the championship.
Only ten teams are allowed in the championship and those ten teams position We're taken.
We were fortunate the opportunity came up and we were first in line to take advantage of that.
So that's one of kind of the key things we're trying to contribute.
Is ten strong teams, healthy teams really, competing for success.
For us the timing couldn't be better.
We've made probably the fact that we will have an electrocution potential.
And therefore, when deciding what What we did [UNKNOWN] before and we took a long time to consider what we wanted to do next.
And we, from our perspective, got the [UNKNOWN] to [UNKNOWN] It's the perfect opportunity.
Not only is it really relevant to where we believe the motor sport is moving towards but not only that the championship is incredible.
It's the most successful car motor sport we believe, racing in the heart of some of the world's biggest city centers.
We [UNKNOWN] straight forward decisions and the lessons we can learn from this program can apply to future road cars is really important.
Turning, temperature management, we race is some really hot temperatures we are asking the max It's actually in the power train.
How you manage an electric power train, these are really important lessons you can find on our program.
So there's actually benefits, short term, and long term also.
So that's [UNKNOWN] season one is really Really about coming in being prepared to and from there we continue to build.
I guess this is [UNKNOWN] a new concept where this is completely electric.
So there's nothing else like it.
The car has its own unique personality but a good one.
You know the olden days it's a racing car.
The electric side of it just [UNKNOWN] a certain element.
But the regeneration definitely, that is very interesting.
With the [UNKNOWN] for the long runs you're very busy behind the wheel and trying to make your energy [UNKNOWN] to the last run.
So yeah that's a lot going on and it's very interesting on the driver.
The car is
A lot different to drive compared to a normal racecar.
Right from when you start the car up, [INAUDIBLE] is no engine sound, so that in itself is very odd when you initially drive the car.
Then once you get on track the [INAUDIBLE] which is [INAUDIBLE] that's great.
The braking's very tricky to keep on top of the regeneration of the energy.
And it's throwing so much at you and it's a lot of maintenance you gotta keep on top of in the car to keep the emissions down, keep the energy low and well you get it.
You just gotta try and manage that as much as you can.
But yes, it's been Been really cool so far, and I can't actually wait to get racing and go wheel to wheel with some of the other racers.
Definitely formula is the future, and a big one.
Obviously there's lots of established teams that have been around for a long time.
But this is something that is unique and I definitely think that it's going to be huge.
And it already It's a lot different.
The way they were brought up, but it's the way the world is heading.
Yeah, it's good to get on the bandwagon.
