This shiny new concept over my shoulder is the Imagine by Kia.
Unofficial winner of the dumbest name and weirdest dashboard here at the 2019 Geneva Auto Show.
Now, in pictures, I expected this thing to be a lot larger.
Thinking I was gonna walk up to something that's about Kia Stinger size, but a little bit taller like an SUV.
But in person it's actually about the size of Kia's [UNKNOWN] small hatchback, although it is, of course, still vertically stretched a little bit to make room for presumably a battery pack because it is an electric concept, though details on how much horsepower or torque or range we can expect from that electric powertrain are nonexistent at this point.
This is purely a design study.
And the design is pretty good.
I really like the sweeping profile and a lot of cool detail like the LED outline tiger nodes gorilla up front.
The rear end is probably not my favorite part, what you take what you can get with this concepts.
However the most interesting part is on the inside where you'll find the cabin and seat that are trimmed in leather and silk.
And a dashboard that's decked out with a staggering and ridiculous.
21 screens.
Now the screens are cascaded in such a way that when you sit in the driver's seat, they look like one long screen, but it's interesting that Kia kinda seems like they're trolling us with this dashboard.
In their release they say it's a humorous and irreverent jab at the ever-increasing towards larger screens in cars.
Is this a parody, is this the first parody concept car then?
It's a little bit weird to think about.
However you don't really need to worry about anything looking like this hitting the road anytime soon.
It is of course a design study.
But we may see some of these details in future vehicles, coming soon.
In the meantime, keep it locked here to the roadshow.com, for the rest of our coverage of the 2019 Geneva Auto Show.
