Big companies like Apple and Amazon and Google Now have really good voice assistance and you now have a variety of ways of integrating those assistance in your car.
Most modern cars still let you connect your phone to the car with Bluetooth.
Good beyond that, most offer either Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, or both.
What that means is you can take your iPhone or your Android and plug them into your car and then have access to Apple Siri or Google Assistant, as well as a lot of the apps on your phone mirrored on your cars info tainment system if you want to talk to Amazon's assistant in your car, you probably need to buy a device that will plug into your cars 12 Volt charger.

You can actually find a variety of 3rd party aftermarket devices out there, some of which will work with any of the major voice assistance you might want.
So part play in Android Auto are common enough that if you're buying a new car, they're basically table stakes.
At this point, some cars do have more advanced smarts that go above and beyond basic Bluetooth connectivity or phone mirroring.
For example, some offer deeper integrations with Amazons assistant models from Toyota and Lexus.
