Geneva auto show wrap-upTwo strong messages from the 2007 Geneva auto show: Green cars--as you might imagine, and also two-door vehicles--as perhaps we're overfed on SUVs?
[ Music ] >> You could sum up the 2007 Geneva auto show as two green. First the two-part, we had a new two door five series from, no not BMW, but Audi in the form of the A5 and the S5. Maserati's new two door was the unforgettable Grand Terismo [assumed spelling] but the new two door Bentley Brooklyn's might just about make you forget the Maserati. And the Peravous mono tresseiress [assumed spelling] was a two wheeled cycle car thing that looked very good,. While the Rim Speed Exaxis [assumed spelling] was powered by a two cylinder 750 engine, it generated 150 horse power, nothing to laugh at. On the green front, Toyotas hybrid X showed the company planned to keep its hybrid leadership by any means necessary. The new Mercedes C class hints at the arrival of a blue tech four-cylinder diesel engine that should let Mercedes reclaim its diesel birthright. And Honda hit a grand slam, that's not a two, a hybrid sports concept, a real working model of their FCX fuel car and a clean diesel engine for use in future vehicles. Green had some other meanings as well, for Jaguar, they haven't been seeing much of it on the sales floor so they trotted out a revised XJ coupe that seeks to liven up the brand. And the green felt by Ford fans, that's envy when they look across the ocean and see European Fords, like the sharp new Mandia [assumed spelling]. ^M00:01:32 [ Music ]
