Genesis New York Concept shows off dramatic lines inside and out
Welcome to the show floor of the 2016 New York International Auto Show.
And where else would you expect the debut of a car called the Genesis New York Concept?
Yes, don't call it a Hyundai.
This is the brand's first boutique concept.
Since launching and spinning itself off of Hyundai earlier this year.
It's got some very distinctive styling and interesting proportions, a long nose, and a very short rear end, and I'm not so sure about those gills, but otherwise, I think it is quite nice looking.
The real story though, is on the inside as the 21-inch curved [UNKNOWN] display, which has got more pixels than the HDTV hanging on the wall in my home.
The steering wheel has got a nice really sporty design to it, and ultimately it's a very nice wide open and a very concepty interior.
Not the kind of thing that we're probably ever going to see in production.
Underneath that long hood is an undisclosed motor putting out about 241 horsepower, but Genesis did say to expect a high performance, maybe M competing versions, something that'll take on the M3 or M4, something over 350 horsepower all directed Through the rear wheels.
