>> Okay, there's no way I'm gonna skip the Dodge Avenger Storm Trooper edition. With an audience like ours you'd kill me if I did. Here it is you Star Wars fans. Yeah the paint is the right look, so are the covered headlights, and it's definitely got the style, right? Let's talk about the interior. Now under the hood you'll find a four liter V6. What's the big deal about that? Well, digitally controlled. A-ha, that's where the two computers inside come into play. There's one in the back, it's an Azyntec [assumed spelling] mobile PC for rear seat entertainment, and all the usual stuff you do with an in-car PC. The one in the front does that as well, but it's also tied into the engine management computer. So you can re-curve the engine's algorithms, and get data fed back from the various sensors, all on that head unit. Kind of a cool idea. Now this is a concept, it was done by a Skunkworks at Chrysler, so don't run down to the dealer demanding one just yet. Other things to note are those computers having a pretty good amount of power, given how small they are. Those in-car computers have one point eight gigahertz Intel Core Duo CPUs. That's nothing to sneeze at, neither is the two gigabyte RAM load on each one of them. Those are real machines. By the way, it also has Microsoft Synch built in. This is the first time we've seen that outside of a Ford product. And that of course is the technology whereby you have USB and hi-fidelity Bluetooth to bring all your portables together, iPods and everything else, into the head unit. So again, the Avenger Storm Trooper is not for real, but it sure looks like it would be nice if it was.
