Aston Martin AMR: More power, sharper looks, Aston's gone hardcore
[SOUND]
For some people a six liter V12 just isn't enough.
Elegant looks simply won't do.
Those people are mostly wrong and they tend to go to hideous after market companies that ruin works of art.
So to combat this Aston Martin has come up with something a little bit different.
Meet the AMR cars.
Now, you may recognize the name, AMR, Aston Martin Racing.
And it seems that Aston is really quite good at getting cars around the racetracks.
So it's no great stretch to name a brand after them.
There are two strands on [UNKNOWN], the AMR and AMR Pro.
Both offer jazzier looks, more power, more performance, more everything.
Really, see the thing is people really liked Aston's limited run cars, the GT8 and the GT12.
They were a little bit miffed that they were made in such small numbers.
So why not make more for the masses?
Now in Geneva, there are two cars.
In the back over there is the Rapide AMR and it's got a pretty epic visual overhaul.
The front end for example, the rear, the little spoiler at the back, the interior, the skirts, it's enormous 20 inch wheels, they're just epic.
And it's got a six liter V12, and it's of the GT as well.
Aston says it'll do 210 miles an hour.
Try doing that in a Porsche Panamera.
You just can't.
The good thing is, they're gonna make 210 of them, try and guess why?
However, the AMR cars are meaning just the cooking versions of the AMR rage.
If you wanna go full banana, you want to Is an AMR Pro, like this Vantage right next to me.
It's an astronaut in racing green, much like the [UNKNOWN].
Its got lime green detailing, pretty much everywhere.
A metal body kits on it, a big spoiler, a big splitter, side skirts, race car inspired details everywhere.
The interior of both cars is all about the driver and there's carbon everywhere, which is fantastic.
But this particular car.
Well it's for the track only and Aston's only building seven of them.
It's got an engine of the Gt4 Vantage race car.
Good for about five hundred horse power.
It's got adjustable suspension.
It's got track car this, track car that.
Basically, the AMR Pro Vantage is going to be super, super mental.
It's actually, this is the closest you can get to owning a Aston Master racing car.
Before actually buying a team.
