All right everyone.
I'm here with the all new Ford Bronco Sport.
Now, if you've looked at this spec sheet, know it's pretty damn good, right?
Great approach and departure angles, really good ground clearance, but there is more to the trail than just a spec trip.
For this excursion I'm in a bronco sport first division with a two litre EcoBoost four cylinder engine pushing out 250 horsepower and 277 pound feet of torque.
Other trims can be had with a 1.5 litre three [UNKNOWN] Cylinder engine with much less power.
So I'm pretty happy with this upgrade, regardless of both are made it to an eight speed automatic transmission.
The hard drive takes us on the Swanzey Cerro Gordo Road near Lone Pine, California.
It's an easy track for true four by four rigs, but remember this is a unibody crossover with independent suspension all the way around.
What it has going for it are 29 inch Falcon wildpeak tires, a twin clutch rear drive unit that can send 100% of the torque to the wheel with the most traction and some seriously calibrated driving modes.
Now Ford calls those modes goat modes.
Yeah, goes over any type of terrain.
I think there's an extra t in there.
But anyway Madden ruts is really great for this trail but when the going gets rough rock crawl is going to explain every little bit of the Broncos sports 18 to one crawl ratio and that rear drive unit.

The Broncos sport first edition has really great geometry.
30.4 degrees of approach angle, 27.5 degrees of departure angle and 20.4 degrees of break over angle.
Now you combine all of that, and that [INAUDIBLE] can just really go [INAUDIBLE] up steep and rocky climbs without a single scratch on it's front [INAUDIBLE] or under body.
But as much I love rock crawling, high speed dune driving is what really gets my engine revving.
Here in sad mood the Broncos for Keeps the revs.
Hi so I can keep up with mentem and keep that crossover floating on top of the sand the all wheel drive system here is locked 50/50 and the traction control is off.
Yeah buddy.
It's time for some rooster tails the short wheelbase means the sport is Nimble much more so than I anticipate the big Bronco to be this is really great.
It is super fun.
So, do you see what I mean?
By overspend capability?
Most buyers of the Bronco sport are going to use it on gravel roads, maybe a pack snowy trail.
So if you buy one, I implore you, please utilize it.
The Bronco sport is much more capable than you think it is.
Take it out, have fun.
Even if you're a newbie, I guarantee you this rig will give you all the confidence you've ever wanted while driving off road.
But you guys, it's not all puppy dogs and rainbows.
I wasn't able to get it on video but I did get the sport overheat after driving it like a madwoman through the soft sand.
And yeah I cooled down pretty quickly but still, the bronco sport went into limp mode,
