Question, what's big, bold, bossy and hails right from Korea?
Nah, it's not that guy from that Gongham Style videos.
It's this, the 2020 Kia Telluride.
At nearly 16 1/2 feet long, it is the biggest SUV that Kia makes.
So come on with me as I take a first drive in a Telluride, right here in the beautiful mountains of Colorado.

A unibody crossover so can ride a little [UNKNOWN] say a Chevy Suburban.
Under the hood is a 3.8 liter V6 engine, which is putting out 291 horsepower and 262 pound feet of torque.
That's mated to an eight speed automatic transmission, and front wheel drive is standard, but come on, you know I'm ragging the all wheel drive, right?
But, that system It is front biased, if you want to feel a little bit of torque to the rear wheels you're gonna have to put it in sport mode but if you're in smart, comfort, eco or snow, it's gonna send anywhere from 80 to 100% of the torque to the front wheels.
But if you press this little lock button right here that splits the torque 50 50 front to rear, so the Actually be okay with a little bit of light off roading.

This bad boy gets up to speed pretty quickly, especially for a vehicle of this size, and there's plenty of mid range punch for passing.
One thing I will say, is that under heavy acceleration, man this thing is loud, and there's plenty of wind noise too, so I wish they'd do a little bit of dampening.
Putting just for that cabin quietness.

But every [UNKNOWN] regardless of [UNKNOWN] gets standard adaptive cruise control with stop and go capability, lane keeping assist and blind spot monitoring.
But this is the [UNKNOWN] right?
So, it also got a blind spot camera that shows up right in my gauge cluster so I really know if it's okay to change lanes.
And it also have a highway driving assistant that Pretty much takes over ,takes over the brake [INAUDIBLE] and steering .It is not a self driving car ,i want to make that very very clear, you still have to pay attention, keep your button sit,keep your hands on the wheel but i can see it being a big stress buster in traffic .What i really like about the telly ride is there is only this little tech improvement There's usb ports in the front seats for those second rear passengers there's this wide a ten inch screen that's rocking [INAUDIBLE] and android auto I dig that there's a God mic that goes right back to the third row so you don't have to yell to any of those passengers back there and incase your little darlings are asleep back there you can turn off the speakers to the second and third row But they're so cute when they're asleep.
They're just adorable.

It's tough to make a big and boxy SUV look good.
My favorites in the segment right now are the Mazda CX9 and the Volkswagen Atlas.
But the Telluride, it doesn't do too bad a job.
It's got a wide grill in the front that's flanked by those stocked headlights.
But I really like the rear with those inverted tail lights.
Very distinctive, there��s nothing like it in the road today.
Inside these heated and cold front seats are really comfortable.
I��m not super merry to the color but you can switch that out.
I��ve got some wood and metal trim, it��s simulated but it looks pretty good [UNKNOWN] And there's an emphasis on with in the cabin with the wide screen plus two rows of buttons on the center stack really emphasizing just how big this vehicle is.
And you know, KIA might be a Korean car company, but to tell you right, it is designed in California and it's made in Georgia.
How about that?

The 2020 Kia Telluride starts at just under $32000 but this one is the top of the line model, so expect to pay closer to 47,however That is on a par or less expensive than top competitors, like the Subaru Ascent and the Volkswagen Atlas.
