-Mercedes SLK, the little roadster, dare I say it, one of the most maligned chick cars in history.
But this new edition comes a long way toward rectifying that.
First of all, check out the face, stolen just about wholesale of the SLS supercar.
That's a nice step forward and the rear-end has lot of SLS-esque in it as well.
Now, let's talk a little bit about the roof.
This is some call tech on the top.
This is called the Magic Sky glass top.
It's electrochromic so it will go from light to dark using electrically changed particles in the glass depending on overhead conditions.
So when it's clear, it's really clear.
When it darkens, keeps a whole lot of those rays from cooking you inside your own juices.
The metal retractible top that Magic Sky via lives in drops in 20 seconds.
They're about average for the category.
Once it down, you'll enjoy the Air Scarf, the warm air blower in the head rest that keeps your neck warm.
You probably wanna enjoy the Air Guide which supposedly smooths the airflow over the top of your head, and when I've tried it on the SL it didn't do a damn thing.
On the dash, you'll now find an LCD helper screen along side the gauges.
Here's that Bluetooth streaming in the entertainment options as well.
Under the hood, a new V6.
It's 25% leaner on gas in optimal conditions.
Sales begin mid-2011.
