Your newest Italian police vehicle is the Alfa Romeo Giulia QV (pictures)
Taking residence with the Italian Carabinieri, this 503-horsepower sedan should be more than powerful enough for police work.
Italy's military and civilian police force just took possession of two Alfa Romeo Giulia QVs.
The QV (Quadrifoglio) is the Giulia's most sporting trim level.
It offers 503 horsepower and a 3.9-second blast to 60 mph, thanks to its 2.9-liter, twin-turbocharged V-6.
The Carabinieri will be required to take special driving lessons before piloting the vehicle.
It will be used primarily for rapid response, so don't expect a whole bunch of cool city chase scenes or anything.
Of course, being a police car, it's loaded with special kit like light bars, strobes, loudspeakers and one really neat vinyl wrap.
FCA plans to deliver the Carabinieri some 800 vehicles over the course of this year.
Sadly, most of those cars will be Jeep Renegades, Fiat Pandas and Alfa Romeo Giuliettas.
Either way, this is one wicked cool police vehicle.
Good luck trying to outrun it.
