You can now slide a Mercedes V8 into your Aston Martin DB11
It might even make you forget about the V12, if only for a bit.
If the 600-horsepower V12 Aston Martin DB11 is too much, perhaps a V8 will be more your speed.
Aston Martin will now offer the DB11 with a 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine.
That's the same eight-cylinder engine found in a variety of Mercedes-AMG products.
In this instance, it puts out 503 horsepower and 513 pound-feet of torque.
The V8 DB11 will hit 60 mph in 4.0 seconds, and will keep going until it reaches 187 mph.
Its suspension is tuned more for sporty driving than grand touring.
Whereas the V12 DB11 sports four hood vents, the V8 DB11 only has two.
Dark headlight bezels also help separate the V8 car from its V12 siblings.
Both cars have the same level of standard equipment, though. It is a luxury car, after all.
Starting at $198,995, the V8 DB11 undercuts its V12 sibling by more than $15,000.
