Who needs coffee when you have a Bugatti Chiron in beautiful California?

Nobody likes Monday, but everybody likes a Bugatti Chiron.

To help you get through another awful work week, here's a collection of pictures Bugatti took during its time in California for Monterey Car Week.

The Chiron is the follow-up to Bugatti's first modern hypercar, the Veyron.

The engine is an 8.0-liter, 16-cylinder unit with four turbochargers and an estimated output of 1,479 horsepower and 1,180 pound-feet of torque.

It's estimated to hit 62 mph in 2.4 seconds, on the way to an electronically limited top speed of 261 mph.

Without its nannies, the Chiron could tear its way up to 288 mph, which is only moderately terrifying.

Then again, when you're spending upwardsof $2 million on a single car, you'd damn well expect the thing to reach ludicrous speeds.

All that power is required to haul this pig up to those speeds, because it weighs more than 4,000 pounds.

With all parts of the process considered, it takes about five months to build a Chiron from the time it's ordered.

The Chiron is an absolute marvel of engineering, and it's got the looks to match, both inside and out.
