VW goes greener with its all-electric Beetle and Jetta Hybrid.
The E-Bugster concept is all-electric but retains the classic Beetle fenders.
The electric Bug has a low roofline typical of classic speedsters.
Inside, the Bug has EV-specific instrumentation such as an energy consumption display, which replaces the traditional tachometer.
The E-Bugster is powered by a 114-horsepower electric motor and a lithium-ion battery.
The zero-emission Bug can roll more than 100 miles on a full charge.
The Jetta Hybrid consumes about 20 percent less fuel than gasoline sedans of a similar size.
Inside, the Jetta Hybrid's instrumentation includes the ePower meter, showing the relative power of the electric motor.
The Jetta Hybrid's four-cylinder engine has 150 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque from 1,400 rpm up to 3500 rpm.
