Volkswagen unveiled its Golf SportWagen as a concept car at the New York auto show, but this one is slated for production next year.
Volkswagen will offer two engine choices for the Golf SportWagen, a 1.8-liter turbo running on gasoline and a 2-liter diesel.
This concept comes with Volkswagen's 4Motion all-wheel-drive system.
Wagons are immensely practical, and the Golf SportWagen offers more cargo room than the current Jetta SportWagen.
The cabin uses Volkswagen's standard design, featuring controls on the steering wheel for the audio system and available navigation.
The diesel Golf SportWagen will come with either a six-speed manual transmission or a dual clutch transmission.
