The Mercedes-Benz C300 convertible is all new for 2017.

Upwardly slanted headlights give the front fascia a sporty look.

Wrap-around tail lights in the rear accentuate the curves of the rear fascia.

Mercedes-Benz claims the C300 can go from 0 to 62 miles per hour in 6.4 seconds.

The soft top can be opened or closed in 20 seconds at speeds of up to 30 miles per hour.

The soft top has a reasonably sized rear window for decent, but not great, visibility.

Top up, the C300 still cuts an athletic figure.

A prominent crease along the side stands out across all the C-class convertibles.

I think the Mercedes-Benz logo could be bigger, don't you?

A graceful eyebrow arch of LED running lights is prominently featured in the headlamp assembly.

The seats in my tester C300 came with the Airscarf technology, which blows warm air from the headrest.

The interior of the C300 features a wood-grain center console and a flat-bottomed steering wheel.

Room for four in the C-class convertibles.

The AMG C 63S looks nearly identical to the C300 and AMG C 43.

The AMG C 63S gets a 4.0-liter biturbo V8, putting out 510 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque.

Also available will be an AMG C 63, sans S. The same 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine puts out 467 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque.

Mercedes-Benz claims a 0-to-62 mph time of 4.1 seconds for the AMG C 63S.
