The 458 in the name refers to the car's 4.5-litre V8 engine.

The 458 is the first mainstream Ferrari not to be offered with a manual gearbox.

Ferrari used plenty of F1 tech in the 458.

Its traction control system, for example, is derived from tech developed in F1.
Miles per gallon
Ferrari claims the 458 Italia can manage over 20 mpg. We did not achieve this.
Sensitivity
Ferrari's Manetino switch selects how sensitive the traction control is. "Race" is quite enough, thanks.
