The 2019 Audi A8 is the damn future
It's semi-autonomous (in some markets). It can talk to other vehicles. You can even use your phone as a key. It sounds perfect for Millennials... if any Millennial could afford Audi's most expensive sedan.
Audi really went all out with its new 2019 A8 flagship sedan.
There's a massive new grille up front, and a unibrow-like single taillight setup out back.
The 2019 A8 will be capable of Level 3 semi-autonomous driving.
It can handle steering, accelerating and braking in highway traffic at speeds up to 37 mph.
It can also park itself in a garage or a space, with a driver controlling the car by smartphone.
Every A8 will be a mild hybrid, with an extended stop-start system and regenerative braking.
The mild hybrid system also connects to the electromechanical suspension, which uses cameras to monitor the road and suggest damping changes.
The interior features three screens up front and barely any physical switchgear.
A new touchscreen takes over climate control functions, and it also acts as a handwriting pad for the infotainment system.
The 2019 Audi A8 goes on sale in the US next spring.
