The 2018 Honda Accord hybrid, inside and out
Honda's managed to remove the compromises in the new Accord Hybrid. Let's take a closer look.
This is the 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid!
It looks just like the non-hybrid Accord, and that's kind of the point.
See that? Completely uncompromised trunk space! Exactly the same as the normal Accord.
How'd they do that? By moving the battery pack underneath the rear seats.
The Accord has a new, twin-motor hybrid system in 2018, paired with a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine.
Honda hasn't quoted fuel economy figures yet, but for reference the new 1.5-liter Accord is rated at 30 mpg city, 38 highway.
The rest of the interior is also uncompromised compared to the standard Accord.
And, like many EVs, the new Accord Hybrid will rely on the paddles behind the steering wheel to adjust regenerative braking.
Overall it's sounding like a nice improvement, but we'll have to wait until early 2018 to know more. That's when the car is slated to go on sale. Click or swipe through for a bunch more pics from Honda.
