The 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser can do it all...for a price
Immensely capable, comfortable and expensive, the 2016 Land Cruiser gets as close to "the Jack of all trades" as possible, without the whole "master of none" part.
It's quite the conversation starter when you roll up in a vehicle that starts at $83,825. Especially when it's made by a brand known for cheap, reliable transportation.
But while the Land Cruiser isn't exactly cheap, it's definitely reliable.
Land Cruisers have earned a reputation as being wonderfully capable off-roaders.
Of course, not every driver's going to take these off the beaten path.
But it's also quite good at mall crawling.
Despite weighing almost 6,000 pounds, it handles on the street like a much smaller vehicle.
Of course, abrupt stops are still terrifying, as the nose pitches to the ground and the rear end heads for the sky.
While it might sound expensive, that price includes everything -- there are no options on this behemoth.
It's even packing the latest safety systems, including autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring and lane-departure warning.
It might sound weird, but given its competition, the Toyota Land Cruiser is actually quite the value buy.
