Now, it's where every Tesla Model S and Model X are manufactured.
In fact, both cars roll off the same assembly line.
The 1,200-pound battery pack is lifted by robots.
It's screwed in place by hand.
Chassis are carried by above.
Nearly all the components are assembled in-house.
Mostly aluminum, the components are stamped and assembled in-house.
