Spyker sends C8 Aileron off with LM85 special edition

After a lengthy but small production run, the Spyker C8 Aileron is getting a three-car sendoff.

Each of the three cars receive special motorsports-derived bodywork and paint schemes

Spyker is known for having some of the industry's richest and most painstakingly crafted cabins in the business. 

This one looks surprisingly restrained color-wise, but don't forget to check out the exposed gearshift mechanism.

Large aluminum ductwork and wider finders are part of the LM85's defining features.

The LM85 is powered by a supercharged 4.2-liter V8 sourced from Audi.

The C8 is built in Zeewolde, in The Netherlands. How many cars can say that?

Spyker went endurance racing from 2002 to 2010 in flashy style, but never really came away with much to show for it.

Founded in 1999, Spyker cars is actually named after a much older marque.

This is a record-setting 1922 Spyker C4.
