2014 Jeep Cherokee
The 2014 Jeep Cherokee will show off its new mug for the cameras at the 2013 New York International Auto Show. I'm seeing shades of the Nissan Juke here...that's not a good thing.
2014 Toyota Highlander
Not much is known about the 2014 Toyota Highlander's New York auto show debut -- only that its headlamps look like this and that it's probably just as dull as the outgoing model. Fortunately, it'll also likely be just as good, too. Soccer moms will love it.
2014 Acura MDX
We saw this Acura SUV prototype at the 2013 Detroit auto show. At the 2013 New York auto show, the prototype will shake off its concept pretenses, debuting as the production-ready 2014 Acura MDX.
Infiniti QX60 Hybrid
The latest victim of Infiniti's stupid obsession with the letter "Q" will be the QX60 (formerly the JX35), which will debut at the 2013 New York auto show with a hybrid power train.
2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid
Subaru tells us that the XV Crosstrek Hybrid will be its first production hybrid model, so we're expecting to see the all-wheel-drive crossover on the road sometime in the next year. The XV Hybrid will share the stage with a new performance concept that I'm seriously hoping will be the next WRX.
2014 Hyundai Equus
Hyundai's flagship sedan, the Equus, will get a minor face-lift at the 2013 New York auto show. Expect new LED headlamp and taillight designs, along with a totally revised cabin technology package.
2014 Buick LaCrosse
The 2014 Buick LaCrosse sedan will also get a minor face-lift and LED lighting to go along with its new cabin technology options and "Ultra Luxury Interior Package." We're told the new model will feature a next-gen IntelliLink infotainment system (which I believe will be the system we saw at CES 2013 as Chevrolet MyLink) and an LCD instrument cluster. The new LaCrosse will also share the stage with an updated 2014 Buick Regal.
2014 Cadillac CTS
If you ask me, the Cadillac CTS (particularly the epic CTS-V) was the best thing to happen to the brand since emcees started rapping about rolling in their Escalades. Arguably the lifeblood of the brand, the 2014 CTS sedan will get a a major update at the 2013 New York auto show. Place your bets now as to whether a high-performance V model will debut alongside it.
2014 Jaguar XJR
Take Jaguar's 542-horsepower, supercharged V-8 engine and drop it under the hood of the XJ sedan and you get the 2014 Jaguar XJR. I'm certain that the resulting noise and 0-60 time will be nothing to thumb your nose at, but I think that Jaguar's claim of "supercar performance" is a teeny-tiny-tad hyperbolic. Still, I'd love to settle in behind the wheel.
2014 Scion tC
Since the Scion FR-S debuted, no one seems to care much about the automaker's other coupe. Few details have been revealed about the 2014 Scion tC, but the model will certainly feature completely revised sheet metal. However, I do not expect a dramatic performance increase from this Toyota Corolla-based "sports coupe."
2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG
The Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG makes its 2013 New York auto show debut boasting 360 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque from its 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. Power reaches all four wheels via Mercedes-Benz's 4Matic all-wheel-drive system and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Do want!
