SEMA 2008 wrap up

There's so much to see at SEMA that it's nearly impossible to see it all. We've gathered up the highlights of some of our favorite vehicles on display.

Antuan Goodwin
Antuan Goodwin gained his automotive knowledge the old fashioned way, by turning wrenches in a driveway and picking up speeding tickets. From drivetrain tech and electrification to car audio installs and cabin tech, if it's on wheels, Antuan is knowledgeable.

Autonet

Anything can be tricked-out at SEMA, including this Autonet in-car internet system. Bling, bling.

DUB Lamborghinis

DUB, big wheel and skinny tire enthusiasts, had a whole pavilion of vehicles with--you guessed it--big wheels and skinny tires.

DUB Pink Mercedes

DUB also had this silver and pink Mercedes-Benz on display. If your think this vehicle is too pink, wait until you see the next one!

Pink WCC Bentley

The guys at West Coast Customs had this pink Bentley on display. Pink must be the new black.

WCC R8

Or maybe black is the new black, because this dark Audi R8, also modded by West Coast Customs, is beautifully sinister.

Five Axis Yaris

I never thought I'd say this, but I really want this Yaris. Five Axis has yanked out everything that doesn't matter to driving, including the rear and passenger seats and created this Yaris Speedster.

Believe it or not, this vehicle in Ford's booth started it's life as a Mustang.

It uses a material called dry carbon, which uses less resin than wet carbon for an even lighter weight and a sweet matte finish.

The Ford Transit is only available in Europe, so why would Ford be displaying one at SEMA in Las Vegas?

Recognize this vehicle? Look again. It's a pimped-out Prius.

Sure this Hummer with snow treads runs on biodiesel, but does it really belong in the "Making Green Cool" section?

This one-off model is a custom job, so don't expect to see anything like this on your showroom floor.

This monstrosity started life as a BMW 6-series, then Alpine--makers of car audio equipment--got its hands on it.

Here's another tricked out Yaris, but this model has another trick up its sleeve.

If you can look past the speakers, the amps, and the hideous green color, you'll see a small badge that denotes that this Yaris runs off of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).
Toyota-booth_(3).jpg

The Toyota Venza should be hitting American shores in early 2009. This SportLux model is modified with big chrome wheels and an extremely loud stereo.

If you needed proof that anyone can mod anything at SEMA here's a suped-up Toyota Sienna.
