Say hello to a whole new Hyundai
Redesigned for 2018, the Hyundai Sonata has come a long way from its econobox roots.

Take a gander at the eight-generation Hyundai Sonata.
The 2018 Sonata is available in SE, SEL, Sport and Limited trim with a naturally aspirated 2.4-liter engine or a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine in Sport and Limited trims only.
Every trim level of the new Sonata comes standard with Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Lane Change Assistant. A new lane keep assist technology is standard on the Limited 2.0T trim.
The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine is the same as 2017, making 245 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. It's mated to an all-new eight-speed automatic transmission.
The new design features a larger "cascading grille" and standard LED running lights on the 2.0T trims.
In the rear, the available LED taillights are trimmer for 2018 and the license plate has been moved lower, bringing an uninterrupted, smooth line from the top of the trunk lid to the bumper.
There is a soft-touch button in the center Hyundai logo that opens the trunk.
The Sonata comes with a Sport mode for higher revs and snappy shifts.
Eco mode is programmed to eke out the best fuel economy, but it's still far from sluggish, returning 26 miles per gallon combined in the 2.0T.
Hyundai's Blue Link system is intuitive and offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
