Pony cars
With more than 40 years of history, the Mustang is a bona fide classic. Since 2005, the Mustang has recaptured the look of its youth. Ford redesigned the Mustang for the 2010 model, enhancing that retro look further while adding electronics and a futuristic roof option.
Front end
Ford restyled the front end, using headlight casings with integrated turn signals and a resculpted Mustang badge on the grille. The GT version gets a 4.6-liter V-8, which takes advantage of the newly bulging hood for better air flow.
New haunches
Although the front gets a more aggressive look, the fast back is accentuated by the high rear fenders. The Mustang still has a solid rear axle, but Ford tuned the suspension for better handling.
Cohesive interior materials
Ford designers ensured a cohesive look around the cabin, using the same finishes around switchgear on the stack and steering wheel. The dash uses a single piece of soft material stretching across.
Glass roof
One of the coolest options is this glass roof. It adds a futuristic look to the exterior, but is even more impressive on the interior, with its ceiling-spanning sunroof.
Convertible
Or you can have a completely open roof with the convertible.
Electronics
The Ford Sync system is available in the Mustang, as is this touch-screen navigation system. Ford cleverly put a 12 volt power point at the top of the stack, making it convenient for radar detectors and other windshield mounted devices.
