Nissan's Vmotion 2.0 concept points towards next Altima

Nissan showed off its latest concept, the Vmotion 2.0, at the Detroit Auto Show today.

The concept points the way toward a more technical and muscular sedan.

While we doubt the heavily sculpted silhouette will make it into production, it does give the Vmotion concept a sleek and futuristic look.

Yet it still retains Nissan's signature boomerang tail lights.

Gotta get that boomerang motif upfront as well.

The Vmotion has Nissan's next-generation ProPilot, which allows for autonomous driving not just on the freeway, but also in urban areas and intersections.

The concept features center-open doors. They're pretty cool but most likely won't make it into production.

The Nissan badge in front will light up when the car is in autonomous mode.

Concept cars always seem to have a yoke steering wheel. Whatever happened to putting your hands at 10 and 2?

The interior features light and airy materials for a sophisticated look.
