Nissan brings Gran Turismo game to life with Concept 2020 (pictures)
Along with other automakers, the Japanese company creates a full-scale model of a car gamers can race in Gran Turismo 6.

Nissan showed off the stunning Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo at the Tokyo Motor Show. The concept is a full scale model of the Nissan Vision car that can be raced in the Gran Turismo 6 video game.
More than just a PlayStation mock-up, the Vision 2020 shows off many design cues seen on the Nissan GT-R.
A rising belt-line comes up from the rear fender then swoops down towards the front, while the cabin canopy nestles in between.
A large spoiler and diffusers mark the back end. The rear tail-lights echo those of the GT-R.
The front headlights also follow the design of the GT-R.
As a concept car, Nissan doesn't specify an engine for the Concept 2020, although it's easy to imagine the GT-R's twin turbo V-6 under the hood.
If this did use the GT-R drivetrain, the six-speed dual clutch transaxle would sit in the rear to help balance weight.
A carbon-fiber body element looks designed to divert air around the rear tire.
Instead of running exhaust pipes all the way to the rear, they stick out of the sides of the engine bay.
