Mitsubishi e-Evolution SUV concept signals a different type of Evo

Mitsubishi revives the Evolution name for an EV SUV concept.

The e-Evolution features a three motor all-wheel drive system.

One electric motor controls the e-Evolution's front wheels, while two motors take care of the rear wheels. 

The rear motors also feature torque vectoring and Active Yaw Control. 

The four-door concept features rear suicide doors.

The futuristic concept features a new Mitsubishi grille design, wrap-around windshield and a double bubble roof.

An on-board AI system is capable of monitoring a driver's capabilities and can provide coaching.

The AI system can also communicate with drones to check traffic conditions.

Mitsubishi says the e-Evolution will feature an AI personal assistant that learns occupants' voices and needs, learning "about them from their speech and behavior" in order to "provide services that best match their tastes and needs."

The concept has a very dramatic side view, with extremely raked front and rear glass suggesting the design's priority is more on sport than utility.

If you can't hear it, I'm sighing very dramatically.

Mitsubishi's pugnacious e-Evolution concept probably isn't production bound, but some of its tech might be.

That, boys and girls, is a seriously raked windshield.
