Speedtail is the most aerodynamic car McLaren has ever built

This hypercar tops out at 250 mph!

It was tested at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, where it hit terminal velocity more than 30 times.

Advanced aerodynamics are key to hitting such crazy speed.

Lightweight engineering is another critical factor.

The Speedtail's gasoline-electric power train is anchored by a 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8.

All in, it's graced with 1,055 brake horsepower and 848 pound-feet of torque. Blimey, as they say in Woking.

Behind that crew rests this car's hybrid drivetrain. 

Testing was also conducted in Spain and Germany.

Production of the Speedtail is now underway, with deliveries expected to commence next February.
