Mazda's 2017 CX-5 slims the face
Packing the same looks as its bigger sibling, the CX-9, the new CX-5 keeps Mazda's theme of thin headlights alive.
Do you like the Mazda CX-9, but wish it were smaller? Well, today's your lucky day.
The 2017 Mazda CX-5 isn't all new, but rather it's just a hefty mid-cycle refresh.
The car now sports a look similar to the CX-9, with thinner headlights and taillights and sharper body creases.
That grille ain't gettin' any smaller, though.
This shade of red is exclusive to the CX-5. Why waste a slick new paint job on the flagship?
The interior ditches the clunky old screen-in-dashboard look for something much lighter and fresher.
While the CX-9 has three rows, the CX-5 makes do with two.
At launch, the CX-5 will carry three engine options -- two gas, and one diesel.
The 2017 CX-5 goes on sale in Japan in February, with a global rollout to follow shortly thereafter.
