LaFerrari Aperta opens up in Paris

Welcome to the new LaFerrari Aperta!

This is a drop-top version of the company's 950-plus horsepower hypercar.

With a combination of big V12 and an electric motor, it's quite a beast.

And the topless version is just as quick.

It's also just as stiff.

In fact, performance-wise, the car is about 100 pounds heavier, but that's the only disadvantage.

Want one? Too bad, Ferrari's sold all 200 that they plan to build.

Ferrari will reveal production numbers for the open-top LaFerrari in Paris, but sadly they are already sold-out following a special client preview.

The open-top LaFerrari will be available with a carbon fiber hardtop and a removable soft-top.

The new open-top version of the LaFerrari is powered by the same hybrid drivetrain as the coupe. A 6.3-liter V-12 engine is mated to a hybrid power unit that produces a net system output of 950 horsepower and 664 pouond-feet of torque.
