Kia Seltos X-Line concepts look ready to rumble in LA
These two LA Auto Show concepts are go-anywhere takes on the automaker's forthcoming 2021 Seltos small SUV.

2021 Kia Seltos X-Line concepts
This builds on Kia's forthcoming production 2021 Seltos small crossover SUV.
The 2021 Kia Seltos X-Line Trail Attack concept is, as its name suggests, designed for hard-core off-roading.
The X-Line Urban and Trail Attack concepts are two different custom takes on the new model, but they both have a higher degree of off-roading in mind than the standard production model.
The Urban concept is more of a toned-down version of the Trail Attack's general concept.
The 2021 Kia Seltos X-Line Trail Attack concept is more our speed, with its more aggressive off-road looks and serious candlepower.
The Seltos X-Line Trail Attack features a 2-inch lift kit that imbues the vehicle with 9.2 inches of clearance. Knobby 17-inch wheels should help provide more traction in the rough stuff, too.
The Seltos X-Line Trail Attack features a winch hidden in the front valence.
The concept features a bone-stock 175-hp 1.6-liter turbocharged four, and the engine figures to be working awfully hard to turn those big tires.
No word on whether Kia will consider producing more off-road-minded versions of the Seltos, but given Subaru's success with the Crosstrek, there might be a small but ready audience.
Kia says the two-tone paint of this concept "evokes a stirring desert sunset." Uh huh.
