The Jeep Sandstorm looks ready to tackle Baja
The Sandstorm concept is Jeep's take on a rugged Baja truck.

For the Sandstorm concept, Jeep looked at Baja desert racers for design inspiration.
On the outside, the Sandstorm gets a vented carbon fiber hood, high clearance fender flares and a cage with a rear mounted spare tire carrier.
The front axle has been pushed forward and features a four-link suspension and track bar.
Additional Baja-inspired touches include high tube bumpers and rock rails.
For a cleaner look, the rear doors were chopped.
A race-style fuel filler system is also a nod to Baja race vehicles.
For power, the Sandstorm uses a 6.4-liter V8, which is bolted to six-speed manual transmission.
A custom cage has been integrated into the Sandstorm's cabin.
To help navigate Baja, an off-road GPS navigation system has been installed.
Custom shocks provide the Sandstorm 14 inches of wheel travel in front and 18 inches out back.
