On the hunt for fossils in Mongolia with Infiniti

The Infiniti QX50, QX60 and QX80 pose next to the Gobi Desert's Flaming Cliffs.

The big, bad, body-on-frame QX80 was absolutely at home in the Gobi.

Infiniti's smaller QX50 loved playing in the dirt.

The trio of Infiniti SUVs bounds across the Gobi.

We didn't do any serious off-roading, but the QX80 felt like it could've handled anything we threw at it.

The QX60 was my least favorite of the bunch, but still comfortable, luxurious transportation.

The Gobi is a vast, wild place. You won't normally see Infiniti SUVs out here.

Yurts -- though these are technically called "gers" -- made up our home base at the Three Camel Lodge.

We never punctured a tire or met an obstacle we couldn't climb.
