Race-ready Hyundai RN30 concept debuts in Paris

The RN30 takes the i30 hatchback's profile and remixes it into a polished racing concept.

The racecar sits about 3 inches lower than the production model and rides over an inch wider.

19-inch forged racing wheels save weight while performance brakes add stopping power.

The body is composed of lightweight, high-performance plastic that Hyundai and chemical company BASF claims is as light as carbon fiber, but more durable.

The RN30's aerodynamics generate downforce at speed.

All of the details, including the headlamps and taillights, have been tweaked.

The 2.0-liter engine gets a larger turbocharger and forged components.

Output is now stated at 375 horsepower and 333 pound-feet of torque.

The engine is mated to a wet-type dual-clutch transmission and an all-wheel drive system.

A twin ceramic exhaust is integrated into the massive rear diffuser.
