Husqvarna's Svartpilen and Vitpilen 401 twins are easy to ride and look rad

The new entry-level street bikes from Husqvarna emphasize fun rather than outright performance.

The upright Svartpilen 401 has a comfortable, upright riding position and rugged looks.

The Vitpilen 401 has a much more aggressive, cafe racer-style riding position and a more streamlined shape.

Both bikes make use of KTM's excellent 373cc single-cylinder engine that makes 44 horsepower.

The Svartpilen and Vitpilen are incredibly simple machines with the only rider aid being antilock brakes.

The Husqvarna 401's were designed primarily as chic urban transportation, and at this they excel.

With their truncated tails and rowdy exhaust note, the Husqys are all business.

The finishes on the Vitpilen and Svartpilen are unique and totally suit the character of the bike.

The Vitpilen 401 is compact, lightweight and extremely unintimidating, which makes it ideal for new riders.

Husqvarna is targeting primarily new, young and image-conscious riders with the Pilen series of bikes.
