Feast your eyes upon the first Honda ever sold in the US

Serial One is literally the first Honda ever sold in the US.

Its official model name is N600.

The N600 arrived in the US in 1969 as a 1970 model.

Its 0.6-liter, two-cylinder engine could reach 9,000 revolutions per minute as it hustled its way up to a top speed of 81 mph.

Output was between 36 and 45 horsepower. Yowza.

This specific N600 lived in a pretty sad state for the better part of a half-century.

Of the 50 first N600s brought to the US, only three remain.

Eventually, the car made its way to Tim Mings, a man who specializes in restoring Honda vehicles like this one.

Over the course of more than a year, Mings set about to bring the car back to its former glory.
