Compact hustle: The 367-horsepower Audi RS Q3 Performance (pictures)

A hand-built, 2.5-liter, turbocharged five-cylinder engine powers the RS Q3 Performance.

Despite an output of 367 horsepower and 343 pound-feet of torque, Audi claims the ute will achieve a combined fuel economy of 27.4 US mpg on the European NEDC cycle.

For those keeping track at home, that's 27 horsepower more than the standard RS Q3.

Combined with Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the RS Q3 Performance will scoot to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.4 seconds.

The body is 0.8 inch lower than the standard Q3, and optional dynamic dampers can adjust between comfort, dynamic and automatic modes.

It wouldn't be an RS model without a little visual flash, so Audi's upgraded this one with gloss-black grilles and a number of matte-titanium-look bits.

The color you see here, Ascari blue metallic, is only available on RS Performance models.

While red brake calipers are standard, folks that prefer to fly under the radar a bit can opt for black units at no additional cost.

Inside, it's packing sport seats with embossed RS Q3 logos.

Other interior upgrades include a flat-bottom steering wheel and unique gray gauge faces.

Buyers with an eye for uniqueness can opt for two different Nappa leather seat upgrades, as well as a two-tone RS Performance Design package in black and blue.

If you're hoping to buy one in the US, we hate to break it to you, but it's not coming here...for now.

The RS Q3 Performance, however, will be shown off at the Geneva International Motor Show in March.

European buyers can place orders for the car starting today.

The base price is set at €61,000 (about $68,000), and deliveries should take place in the second quarter of this year.
