Back in September, at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Citroen hit us upside the head with its Revolte concept car. Fast forward to the Geneva Motor Show 2010 a few months later, and it's done it again with the Survolt -- a sporty two-seater that'll leave your jaw hanging somewhere near your toes.
The design borrows heavily from the Revolte and from its equally stunning GTbyCitroen concept vehicle -- and casts a few subtle nods towards the Bugatti Veyron. Too many cooks can spoil the broth, but here the design hangs together superbly.
Citroen says, "the leitmotiv with Survolt is to transgress the conventions of the luxury world and combine them elegantly with those of the sporting world". We have absolutely no idea what that means, but that's probably PR slang for "it's the bomb -- the actual bomb".
The Survolt will be powered by a battery and at least one electric motor, though Citroen is staying tight-lipped on performance and economy figures. We get the feeling
it'd prefer if we simply stared in open-mouthed astonishment at what is undoubtedly one of the best-looking cars of 2010. Do your eyeballs a favour, people: hit the 'Continue' button below.
