BMW has shown its i8 hybrid at many auto shows. The Spyder version, with an open top, is on hand in Beijing.
Nissan Venucia Leaf
Nissan's Chinese joint venture will sell a modifed Leaf electric car under the Venucia brand.
GAC Trumpchi E-Linker concept
GAC's E-Linker is an electric concept vehicle.
Roewe E50
The 118-mile-range E50 is an electric car intended for production this year.
Daimler-BYD Denza
Daimler and Chinese automaker BYD formed a joint venture called Denza. This electric concept is its first fruit.
Honda Concept S
Honda specified a hybrid power train for this new concept, which should be based on the next-generation system it announced for its Earth Dreams Technology initiative. The Concept S is the prototype for a new, global family vehicle.
BYD e6 taxi
The BYD taxi uses an electric drive system, and is currently being deployed in Shenzhen.
Geely Moca concept
This small SUV concept from Geely includes a motor scooter stored in the cabin.
Chery Riich G2
The Riich G2 is a compact hatchback, driven by a 125-horsepower 1.6-liter engine.
Lifan 320
The 320 copies the style of the Mini Cooper.
SAIC MG Icon
SAIC, which owns the MG brand, showed off this small SUV concept, which evokes the styling of 1960s MG roadsters.
Toyota Dear Qin concept
Toyota showed sedan and hatchback versions of the Dear Qin concept, a good indication that it will form the basis of a new, global compact car.
Toyota Yundong Shuangquing concept
The Yundong Shuangquing concept is the basis for a new hybrid-only model, built specifically for the Chinese market.
BAIC C70G
The C70G is basically Saab reborn. BAIC owns the Chinese production rights for the 9-3 and 9-5, and is using the platform for the C70G. This car will enter production soon, with an electric version to follow later this year.

Geely Englon SC7 RV concept
This Geely concept is intended to evoke the look of a London taxi cab.
Brilliance H530 REEV concept
That the H530 REEV looks like a BMW comes as no surprise, since Brilliance is BMW's Chinese partner. This concept uses an electric drive system.
GAC Trumpchi Hybrid
The Trumpchi sedan uses a full hybrid drive system, meaning its electric motor can propel it at low speeds. The car will come in two- and four-wheel-drive versions.
Audi A6L e-tron concept
Audi builds the long wheelbase A6 for the Chinese market, and showed off this plug-in hybrid concept version in Beijing.
Mercedes-Benz Concept Style Coupe
This concept car from Mercedes-Benz presages a small, sleek sedan, due to hit production on a new platform being developed by the automaker.
BMW 328Li
BMW showed off a long-wheelbase version of its 328i. Many Chinese cars are chauffeur-driven, so the back seat must be roomy enough for the owner.
Changan Raeton
The Raeton is a midsize sedan, powered by a 2-liter engine.
Citroen Numero 9 concept
Citroen picked the wrong language for this Beijing auto show concept's name. The shooting-brake-style body is very low to the ground, get as long as a midsize sedan, dimensions that do not seem in demand by the car-buying public.
Hyundai Shouwang BHCD-1 concept
This concept car represents a joint venture between Hyundai and BAIC, and uses a hybrid power train.
BAIC C90L
At 17 feet long, the C90L is a luxury boat, with a 6-liter V-12 required to turn the wheels, a rare bit of excess for the Chinese market.
Pininfarina Cambiano concept
The Cambiano concept from Italian design house Pininfarina uses four electric motors to drive the wheels, with a diesel engine as a range extender.
Great Wall Haval H7
Audi RS Q3 concept
Audi showed off this hotted-up RS version of the Q3 as a concept in Beijing.
Lamborghini Urus concept
Lamborghini is looking to launch an SUV, as most buyers of its sport cars own some sort of SUV. The Urus is the first design attempt.
Jeep Wrangler Dragon edition
Jeep gave its Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon special paint and wheels for its Dragon edition debut in Beijing.
