Audi down under: S7 Sportback is the New South Wales police's latest car
This hopped-up hatch will be in the NSW fleet for the next 12 months. And no, it's not going to be used for high-speed chases.
Audi has donated its second vehicle to the New South Wales Police.
This S7 Sportback enters the NSW lineup alongside an RS4 and a litany of vehicles from other automakers.
Audi Australia had its Facebook followers vote on a livery back in 2015.
Sadly, the car will not be used for actual police duty.
It will serve as a promotional vehicle, going around to various community and youth-outreach events.
Under the hood is a 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine.
Output is rated at 450 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque.
62 mph arrives in 4.6 seconds, and the top speed is set at 155 mph.
Let's be honest -- this is probably one of the last cars you'd want to see in your rearview mirror.
