AMG GLC43 is the latest curvy coupeover from Mercedes-Benz
Manufacturers are just mad for coupe-like crossovers, so we'd better get used to them.
Mercedes-Benz has added the AMG GLC43 coupe model to its extensive crossover lineup.
This is the first time the German automaker has bestowed its AMG trim upon the GLC-Class.
The rear end of the AMG GLC43 coupe swoops sharply down into a rear spoiler. Sure, it looks cool, but it does cut into head room and cargo capacity.
The AMG GLC43 gets a 3.0-liter V6, putting out 362 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque. It'll hit 60 mph in 4.8 seconds, but its top speed is electronically limited to 130 mph.
The AMG GLC43 coupe gets Mercedes-Benz's air suspension. Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus modes make for a customizable ride.
The AMG GLC43 coupe can even be raised up about an inch for any light off-roading you may get into.
Mercedes-Benz's excellent suite of active safety systems, including full-speed adaptive cruise control with steering assist, is available in the AMG GLC43.
A 7-inch infotainment system is standard, but that can be bumped up to an 8.4-inch screen, and you can add options like Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity and navigation.
The interior features sport seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel and an AMG-specific instrument cluster.
Expect to find the AMG GLC43 coupe in dealerships in early 2017. Click through for more pics from the Paris Motor Show.
