2022 Lexus RX 450h: Kind of a Snoozer, Ain't No Loser

The 2022 RX 450h is about as Lexus as it gets.

It's solidly built, efficient and appropriately priced.

It's also super boring to drive, but for repeat Lexus buyers, that's not bad.

The RX is all about incremental improvements.

Every year it gets a little better and a little smarter all while not changing its styling or its tech too dramatically.

The result is an SUV that's comfortable, unchallenging and extremely effective at its job of carrying people around in comfort and safety.

The hybrid V6 in the 450h model offers enough pep, with great-for-the-class fuel economy.

It uses excellent interior materials and everything feels built to last.

This is Lexus' bread and butter and it has to appeal to the people who trade in their old RX for a new one every few years.

The 2022 RX 450h isn't revolutionary, but it's definitely not bad either.
