It mostly has the performance to back up the design, too.
The GT43 is the new entry point of the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door lineup.
It's got the same sleek looks as the rest of the four-door GTs.
Under the hood is a 362-hp turbocharged inline-6 engine with a mild-hybrid system.
It's also got a nine-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive.
The GT43 is fantastic to drive, even on these huge 21-inch wheels.
But the GT43's biggest problem is the existence of the more powerful GT53 model, which isn't much more expensive.
At least the GT43 doesn't give anything up in terms of interior style or feature content.
You can easily load up a GT43 with tens of thousands of dollars in luxury items.
It mainly exists as a direct competitor to the base Porsche Panamera, and that's OK.
The GT43 is still worthy of the AMG name.
